The IndiGo Chennai Reunion Island Flight has been officially announced as IndiGo confirmed the launch of thrice-weekly direct services between Chennai and Réunion Island, effective 29 April 2026.
The new IndiGo Chennai Reunion Island Flight will be operated using Airbus A320 aircraft, strengthening the airline’s international network expansion strategy.
With this launch, Réunion Island becomes IndiGo’s 46th international destination and the 13th international destination served from Chennai, reinforcing the city’s position as a key South Indian aviation hub.

Located between Madagascar and Mauritius, Réunion Island is a French overseas territory in the Indian Ocean known for its volcanic terrain and rich biodiversity.
The IndiGo Chennai Reunion Island Flight is expected to boost tourism and business travel to the island, which is home to UNESCO World Heritage-listed natural landmarks including the Piton de la Fournaise volcano.

The IndiGo Chennai Reunion Island Flight will operate three times a week – Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday – offering convenient connectivity between South India and the Indian Ocean region.
